Adopted from Norcal Golden Retriever Rescue on November 18, 1997 as Caliber's playmate, Wilson was our beloved pet. At adoption time his age was guessed to be 4 years which put him at 10 and change on March 19, 2004. When we first eyed him he weighed about 60 pounds and was recovering from Kennel Cough at our friend Pat's house. He had been a stray in the Oakland area for quite some time. After coming home with us he promptly put on 20 pounds. He had an incredible personality and fit into our "kennel" perfectly as the token Grumpy Old Man, but with out the grump. His most favorite thing to do was to give Cairo a "hip check" against the side of the house. His second most favorite thing to do was nudge his nose under your hand so he could be petted because what else were your hands for? We absolutely loved him to pieces and thank NGRR for saving him.

Earlier this year (2004), due to a large tumor in his chest, Wilson crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge. We miss him terribly.
