Welcome and thank you for visiting! Calibre Goldens, located in Hollister, California, was established in 1997 after we bought our first Golden Retriever, Chardon's Full Flannel Jacket, Caliber. We fell madly in love with him, as well as the breed. We figured since the first one was so easy and wonderful, let's get more! Calibre Goldens, run exclusively by Maxe, now includes Quinn, Cairo and Rerun. Caliber has gone on to Calibre Kennels, run by Steve.

To date, Calibre Goldens has bred two Golden Retriever litters, producing a total of 15 puppies. Don't think for a minute that breeding and whelping a litter is all fun and games. It's not!! There are many things to consider before taking on such an endeavor, from health clearances to minimal sleep to cleaning up after puppies. It is not something that should be considered lightly. With these breedings we strove to produce sound, healthy puppies with loving temperaments. This is something that Maxe will continue to strive for in the future and because she participate in AKC events, meeting breed standards is also very important. 7/29/04 Our Miss Quincessa Quinnie the Pooh turned 6!!
5/21/04 Nani peacefully joins Wilson at the Rainbow Bridge. Rest well Nan. We love and miss you.
5/03/04 Updated pictures of Carly and Ollie at age 3.
4/17/04 Happy 7th Birthday to Caliber and all of his littermates, especially Cooper and Gemma!
4/12/04 Happy 3rd Birthday to Kathy, Ollie, Mittzi, Murphy, Luke, Carly, Jake, Buddy and Tucker!
4/03/04 Rerun moves to his new home here at Calibre Goldens!
